Timothy Bible School Ministries

In 1996 Pastor Francis and Pastora Des Banda founded Timothy Bible Institute (TBI) with the objective of entrusting the Good News of Jesus Christ to “reliable followers who will also be trusted to teach others” (2 Tim. 2:2).

Timothy Bible Institute (TBI), a ministry of Timothy Bible Institute Purpose Driven Foundation (TBIPDF), is a non-denominational, Christ-centered Bible School, developed when Canadian friends joined the Bandas’ grassroots ministry and developed a school campus on two hectares of land about ten kilometers from Balanga City, Bataan.  The school provides two years of cost-free Bible and church leadership training, followed by a six-month resident internship in one of the villages.  The school welcomes students who have no income, but have a heart for and a calling from God, and who are ready to minister to marginalized villages/barangays where no Christ-centered witness is present.

TBI staff and students conduct Sunday School programs, youth camps, five-day clubs for children, adult Bible studies, and a wide variety of other adult, youth, and children’s programs and ministries.  Over the years they have established eight ministry centers, known as the Body of Christ churches, and conducted many evangelistic campaigns with more than 5,000 people coming to faith in Jesus Christ.

Community Care Services is another ministry of TBIPDF, which attempts to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, clothe and shelter the homeless, and visit the sick.  Efforts in this regard include: the Inn of Jesus Orphanage; small business workshops; organizing rice co-ops; assisting with medical bills; distributing care packages, vegetables, and fruit; and children’s feeding programs.

A central focus is TBI’s prayer ministry.  The students and staff meet five times a week at 5:00am for prayer and worship.  In addition, weekly prayer meetings are held, days are set aside for fasting and prayer, and monthly all night (Friday 9:00pm to Saturday 5:00am) prayer and praise sessions are held, together with leaders from the Body of Christ churches.

TBS invites you to partner with them by sponsoring women and men for Bible and church leadership training, providing for children in the Inn of Jesus Orphanage, or supplying food care packages for the hungry.
